HERBAL MEDICINE
Women are very closely associated with the health of their families particularly the children. They are the ones who need to know about hygiene, common health programmes and problems, different kinds of ailments, causes and preventions. Health and nutrition become day to existential questions for them. New in-put is required for them so that preventive and curative action against any disease is undertaken. Seminar on health dealt with the mother and child health where the women were very much interested.

The response from the participants was very encouraging. The target population is using the herbal medicine since long but very few people know it. By the training given to them, people could identify today the medicine for the First aid of any sort of sickness. This is an innovative activity of the organization because the villages where the project is implemented are covered with forest. The Herbs are easily accessible for the target people and they do not have to spend huge money for the treatment. If one can identify the herbs and the usage of the herbs, s/he can help the community in a better way.

The Impact of the training is that now people are realizing that around them so many herbal plants exist but people are ignorant of its quality. Most of the poor people spend huge money in the health and the RMP (Registered medical practitioners) are earning a lot of money from them. The confident level of the people increased on the herbal medicine by this training. The preventive as well as curative measures were told to the target people of the village.
