The special spirit of the Daughters of St. Anne is: by their fully self-surrendered life, after the model of their Society’s Patron Saint Anne, to prepare for Christ’s coming the minds and hearts of the poor and the down-trodden who sit in the darkness of sin waiting for a Saviour. Like St. Anne, preparing Mary to become the mother of Jesus, the Daughters of St. Anne too have been called by God, and have been sent by Him, for this same sacred ministry.

The Daughters of St. Anne then joyfully give their co-operation to those ecclesial works in which our Mother the church has to face great difficulties in order to bring forth and to bring up her sons and daughters. The Daughters of St. Anne rejoice in doing this difficult kind of work, because through it the Church’s children continue to increase in number and quality.
