Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people, (Eph. 6:18). This inspires us to thank and pray, as we commemorate the public declaration of our Beloved Foundress Mother Mary Bernadette Kispotta, as the Servant of God, by His Eminence Telesphore P. Cardinal Toppo,DD., Archbishop of Ranchi Archdiocese, at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Ranchi on August 7, 2016. For that reason, we, the daughters of St. Anne, Ranchi, at the Centre, had a thanksgiving Holy Mass on August 7, 2018, at 6.00pm at St. Anne’s Mother House, Ranchi. The Holy Mass was officiated by His Grace Felix Toppo, SJ, Archbishop of Ranchi Archdiocese and con-celebrated by rev. Fr. Ajit Kumar Xess,SJ, Notary for the cause and Rev. Fr. Cajitan, SFX, Secretory of Archbishop, Ranchi. We had a short prayer service before the Holy Mass, conducted by St. Anne’s Novitiate, Samlong. Soon after the prayer, with a hymn Chalo Chalein Prabhu ke paas— we enter into the Holy Eucharistic celebration followed by a short introduction by Rev. Sr. Lily Grace Tonpn,DSA, Postulator for the Cause. It was the prime moment to raise our voice together as one community towards the Almighty Father and invoke His grace upon our Beloved Foundress Mary Bernadette Kispotta, Servant of God and to pray for the process of Beatification. it was the time to go back and see once again the virtuous life of Mary Bernadette Kispotta. During his homily His Grace Felix Toppo, SJ, stressed upon the compassionate love of God and human weaknesses. Like that of St. Peter often our faith becomes weak and we go astray from God. But God is full of Compassion and love, He upholds and sustains us. God enable us through the Church and the Saints. Saints are our example and models. We have the Holy Bible, the Word of God to help us to live a righteous life. We have also leaders who lead us to the right path and finally we have the Holy Spirit who sanctifies and inspires us and make us worthy to stand in front of the Lord. At the end of His homily His Grace focused on two things about Servant of God Mary Bernadette; first point that he said is; Mary Bernadette received truly the God’s inspiration, strength and courage to embrace the challenges. She faced all opposition with great confidence surrendering herself to the will of God. Secondly, His Grace also said that whole Memoir, written by Mary Bernadette, is the journey of her spiritual life, each event of her life speaks a deep sense of her spiritual life, her relationship with the Lord. Thus, His Grace motivated everyone to read the Memoir again and again so that we may get new inspiration to work according to the charism of our Congregation.
Henceforth, we followed the Holy Mass as usual. We had the short felicitation program soon after the Holy Mass at St. Anne’s Mother House. Sr. Leocrita Tirkey, Superior of St. Anne’s Mother, with delight heart welcomed His Grace Felix Toppo, SJ, Archbishop of Ranchi Archdiocese and to those who were present there. Thus, the eve of August7, 2018 was indeed a day given by the Lord.
